This month we have an eclectic mix of galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters in the far northern and southern skies. Southern stargazers also enjoy a look at the magnificent Large Magellanic Cloud, a nearby irregular galaxy that is mainstay of the deep-southern skies.

This month it's galaxies, mostly, with a fine selection of double stars and a few worthy star clusters. Southern observers will also explore one of the nearest galaxies to our own, the Small Magellanic Cloud, an object without equal in the northern skies.
